Jessica Winder is a photographer who takes great delight in photography of the natural world. On this site she showcases her amazing collection of nature photographs, especially the wonders of the sea shore. The richly varied and colourful images allow others to experience the richness of the natural world through her eyes.
These photographs are the result of a life-long interest in nature study. The seashore and its ecology began as particular area of study when Jessica was a zoology graduate but this developed into a lifetime's study which later broadened to include rocks, fossils, fungi, shells and insects. Her photography developed in support of these research interests but now exists in its own right at the infrequently visited intersection between science and art.
As a nature photographer Jessica has specialised in recording the intricate and little-observed details of wild plants, small creatures and geological phenomena. She likes to get up close to the subjects and record the natural patterns, textures and colours. She has lived in Dorset for over thirty years and many of the photographs reflect the richness and detail of the natural environment of the Wessex coast and countryside.
Photographs featured on the website are available to purchase in a variety of sizes. For details please contact Jessica now at winderjssc@aol.com or on 01305 265928
